Between Alicante and Denia is classified as the Costa Blanca North and on this page we will describe the area in a little more detail.

The Area

The northern end of the Costa Blanca covers the areas between Alicante and runs into the region of Valencia. It boasts some of the finest beaches in the Mediterranean. Its main coastal towns include Villa Joyosa, Benidorm, Altea, Calpe, Denia and Oliva. The Northern Costa Blanca has its own unique micro-climate reputed to be the best in Europe. With an average of only 20 days rainfall per year and an extremely mild all year round climate the Costa Blanca is an ideal location for retirement or holiday homes.

Something for everyone

This area really does have something for everyone; from the year round holiday resort of Benidorm, the old town Spanish charm of Oliva, the cosmopolitan town of Alicante and the unique charm of Moraira. In this part of the Costa Blanca you will find top quality 18-hole golf resorts, detached villas on large plots, front line beach apartments and rural properties in majestic settings.

Good quality re-sale properties combined with quality new developments give those who want a bit of real Spain but still have access to some of the comforts of home a choice unrivalled (in our opinion) any where in southern Spain

What to buy

In this area you may find that the perception is that prices are a little higher than in some other parts of southern Spain. Don't let this put you off, there are still great value properties to be found a little inland and if you buy 'off plan' there are still bargains to be had near the beach.
Remember, building regulations are a lot tougher in this area which means no estate type developments all along the coast. Detached villas come on larger plots and the scenery and beaches are worth paying that little bit extra for.
